STEM Beijing Programme 2018
A unique teaching experience in Beijing and Zhejiang focused on STEM subjects and activities
Basic Information
This programme runs across two locations – Beijing and Zhejiang
End July – Mid Aug (dates TBC)
Beijing
- Food will be Chinese meal buffet
- Shared accommodation will be separated from students
Zhejiang
- Accommodation will be in a nice hotel within 3 mins walk to school campus,
- Food will be prepared by school
Excursions will be Peking university; China science museum; China astro military museum (more TBC)
July / August 2018
- All teaching will be STEM, text book and materials are provided
- Course theme : Mission to Mars; Drones- friends or enemy ; Satellites
There will be one day training in Beijing after arrival by UK STEM expert
- All teaching powerpoints of each lesson will be ready made and easy to follow
- All the activities in the lessons is included in the training.
- Each teacher will have one Chinese assistant
- Each class will be 20-25 students
STEM focused
Covering subjects such as ‘Mission to Mars’ ‘Satellites’ and ‘Drones’ this should be a very interesting and thought provoking camp
Two Locations
A unique opportunity for anyone wanting to have an indepth understanding of China and the culture, seeing two different locations helps to develop understanding of multiple areas of China, and opportunities to try different cuisines.
Flexibility
Due to the nature of the programme, there may be some flexibility as to start dates and follow on travel after the project is finished. Just let us know!
Doing GOOD
Bringing focus to subjects which are not widely participated in allows more access to children to study or work in these fields in the future.
